Faith 21 Finally Here in Canada!!

Hello my lovelies,

So remember how I wrote a post regarding Faith 21 and how I had a fit that they were not going to introduce the line in Canada? Well I was wrong! Faith 21 has come to Canada and I have got to say that it is a beautiful thing. :) There is a catch though…It has only been introduced at one Forever 21 location and won’t be introduced at any of the other locations until the owner is satisfied with the sales that it makes. So right now, Faith 21 can only be found at Fairview Mall in Toronto, Canada and nowhere else! I have seen the line and I have to say that I was a little bit disappointed. There are two reasons for this which are a) there is not a lot of selection or styles to choose from. The owner didn't want to take a risk of introducing a new line which may not have sold so he started to start off slowly and then increase from there if there was a positive response. So far I believe there has been a very positive response and they have slowly started bring in new merchandise. Reason b) is simply because I found that some of the clothes do not fit as well as they do at other plus size clothes and the reason for this is because Faith 21 is a junior plus size line which really makes a difference in the sizing. But after saying that I also have to be honest and add that this does not mean that you will not be able to find anything that you like. I have been to the locations numerous times and I always find at least 5 things that fit me and I usually fit into a 3x at Voluptuous and 2x at Addition Elle. So don’t feel too disheartened, because I am sure that there is something for everyone. I just wanted to paint a true picture for you because I was completely shocked and bummed out when I first went to Fairview Mall to take a peek at the line. I was so excited and I left the store with NADA. But slowly I realized that I have to give things a try because the material really makes a difference in how the clothing fits. So if a few things don’t fit right, don’t give up. Just think positive and keep trying and you will be surprised at what you find. Also as the sales increase the owner will have to bring in more variety and may even decide to bring in the 3x size (since right now they only have up to 2x available). On that note I would like to end this entry by sharing some news with you all. I applied for the Faith 21 Specialist position at Fairview Mall and I got the job. WOO HOO!!!! I am so excited to start my new job and really push sales and push the owner to bring in more stuff. I will fight hard to ensure that things change at Faith 21! I hope this post has gotten you excited about future shopping spree’s and I hope to see all of you at Fairview!

Oh and I just realized that the website states that size 3x is coming soon. SUCCESS!!

Hospitality Management at George Brown College

Hey Guys,

So I just wanted to take the time to update you guys on whats going on in my life. So I was originally set to go do my post-graduate diploma in hospitality studies in Marbella, Spain, but that plan fell through because of financial problems. I am so upset about the downfall of my plans because I was really excited to get my hotel management career on the road. I have a degree in Sociology which is why I NEED to have some sort of certificate or diploma in hospitality management so that I can get a decent job. This is why I have now decided to continue my education at George Brown College while working full-time in the mornings so that I can get my work experience started. I feel really lost right now because I don't really know if what I'm doing is the right thing, but I honestly have no other options at this point. I have to make do with what I have near home and George Brown seems like the best option. I've compared there program to the one that I was supposed to do in Spain and it's actually quite similar, the only difference is that the one in Spain costs about 24,000 dollars (plus all your other personal expenses). Hopefully every thing will turn out alright and I will get to the top just like I had always planned. Maybe after I get a good job and make some money I can go to Switzerland to get my Masters in Hotel Management. (We'll see about that later though) If you guys are in the hospitality or hotel management industry please give me your thoughts and opinions so that I can really assess my situation right now. Thank for reading and please wish me luck. Thnxs loves :)

Geneva, Switzerland

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to take the time to give a short review of hotel Des Tourelles. It is probably considered a 2 or 3 star hotel, but don't let that scare you. The hotel was spectacular in every way. It is a small and cozy hotel and the staff there are great. Geneva is a small city so getting around is very easy and if you stay at this hotel you will get a free bus pass for the duration of your stay. Although you can use the bus to get around, it is also possible to get around on foot since everything is so close. We stayed in room 34, which comprised of two double beds and a single. We had three people in the room and we were able to stay there very comfortably. The bathroom is a bit on the small side but keep in mind that this is Europe's style in general, they usually have small rooms, bathrooms or kitchens. There was no kitchen or microwave in the room but the staff were kind enough to let us use their kitchen when we wanted to cook our own food. We wood go to the local grocery store (COOP)and by pasta or microwavable dinners and prepare them in the hotel's kitchen. We had no problems while we stayed there and the staff spoke enough English to help us with our inquiry's. You can buy calling cards at the local convenience store and use the many public phones to call home (if you like). We were on a very low budget, which is why this hotel was perfect for us. We also found it more beneficial to eat from fast food restaurants such as Burger King or McDonald's, since the other restaurants were a lot more expensive. Also keep in mind that Europe has a very relaxed lifestyle, which means that their clubs are not like American or Canadian clubs. They mainly like to lounge and talk in a club setting which means that you will mostly be exposed to trance music at low volumes when in Geneva. If you guys have any other question about the city or anything else fell free to contact me or just comment on the article. Enjoy!

Faith 21 Not In Canada

Okie so I was super excited to go check out forever 21's new line called faith 21. It's a plus sized line for young girls to help them keep up with today's fashion. I am truly sad to here that the line will not be coming to Canada. But Why?? I don't know why this decision was made or how it was made, but it has been made. I've also realized that you can not get orders shipped to Canada from the website. I have also gotten a lot of complaints about the sizing charts not being true to plus size women. And the reasoning behind this is that forever 21 is a store catered to junior's which means that faith 21 is catered to plus sized juniors. This is so ridiculous. I think it would be greatly beneficial for he company to make their line available internationally. You guys can help by sending your suggestions to the head office of forever 21, and you can do this through the forever 21 website under 'contact us'.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Review

Hey Everyone,

Well I just got back from watching the 6th Harry Potter movie and I have got to say that I'm quite disappointed. I know that you should never expect much from a movie that is based on a book, but since the last one was pretty good I thought this one would follow the same path. Being such a huge Harry Potter fan, I feel very deflated at the moment and even somewhat sad. I expected so much more that what I was given and I feel cheated. I know that because of time constraints they can not show everything but there was a lot of potential which just wasn't met. The movie had a few scenes which were not even in the book, and this outraged me because that was time wasted. It's understandable that the director or whomever wants to add their own creative touch but that could have been done in other ways other than replacing entire crucial moments. Instead of showing the scene with Ginny and Harry running through the wheat field after the death eaters they could have put more of Tom Riddle's family history into the movie. The whole running through the field part isn't even in the book. And what happened to the Dursley's and the talk that Dumbledore has with them in the beginning of the book, asking them to allow Harry a place in their home for another year? Instead they replaced that with Harry trying to hit on a cafe employee. I know I may sound rude, but they should have just stuck to the story line like they did in the past 5 movies. I guess these movies only come with success in odd numbers. The 1st, 3rd and 5th movies were quite good which leaves the 2nd, 4th and 6th in quite a bad position. Let's just hope that the last movie is good. If they replace any more crucial scenes or plot stories with scenes that are not even the book I will truly have a heart attack. Die Hard fans take these things very seriously and so should the production team. STOP trying to get a new edge and make things 'different' and stick to the old true method that keeps your fans happy. Well that's the end of my rant, Hopefully I'll get over this soon and be back to my normal self. See you all then and have a great day!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Okie so I just realized that I forgot to talk about some major news! The 6th Harry Potter Movie. How could I have possibly done that? I am a huge fan and I am soooo excited to see the movie. I wanted very badly to go tonight to watch the 12am show but because of school restrictions I had to postpone the plan. I will be watching the 8pm show on Thursday instead and I am absolutely shaking in my boots with excitement. I already bought the tickets today, and I just found out that the guy at the movie place charged me twice (just had to add that in there and I'll take care of that later) Despite the scuffle and trouble I went through to get these tickets I am soo happy to be seeing it soon. I absolutely loved the 7th book and I think it is the best one out of the series. Okie so I'll stop rambling on now and leave you guys to bask in the glory that is the Harry Potter Saga. Enjoy your delish dreams of that sexy Draco Malfoy (yeah you got that right, I'm a Slytherin kind of girl) ;)

Sleep tight, make sure to let Malfoy bite ;)

Just Checking In...

Hello To All My Lovely Readers,

So I've still been learning how to use this blog and I'm kind of annoyed because I can't figure out how to get people to follow my blog. I guess it will take some time but waiting is making me nervous. I have a school presentation to prepare for and I'm kind of nervous because I'm not very comfortable speaking in front of crowds. I suddenly got sick Sunday night and I don't really know why. My head was spinning and I felt like vomiting. It was bad enough that I had to stay in bed since I couldn't walk without falling over. I'm feeling much better now though, which is curious to me since it makes me wonder where that short lived sickness appeared from. I've uploaded some video's and pictures for you all to see. I love sharing my travel experiences with others and I hope you all enjoy them. I feel really weird doing this since I know I have no actual readers but I'm hoping that I will get some soon. Or else this blog may be listed on the FAIL website. Oh I hope that doesn't happen. I've just now looked around my room to notice that it's a horrible mess, so I think I should work on that before I start my school work. Have a lovely week and always stay smiling :)

Some Pics From My Trips...

First Blog

Hey Guys,

Well this is my first blog and I'm kind of nervous. I don't even know what to write about so I'll probably just be rambling on about who knows what. I started this blog because my cousin thought that I would be really great at it. I don't know why exactly she thinks that but I decided to give it a try and see how it all turns out. I haven't really decided exactly what is the main purpose of this blog, right now topics such as gossip, fashion, travel and Hollywood are roaming around in my mind. I'm leaning towards travel though because it's probably the most interesting to me but I would still write about other things as well. Well that's all for now, keep a lookout for a new post in the next couple of days. I have to get my thoughts all together since this all seems so overwhelming. I'm not that big of a techee (sp?) so I'm gonan have to first learn how to work this site. Alright then, hope you all have a great week. Speak to you soon!
